In November 2022 Amelia was recognised with a Young Volunteer of the Year Award at Lancashire Boys & Girls Club annual award ceremony. This was awarded in recognition of her commitment to the Magic Club and the skills she has developed.
Amelia was one of the very first Magic Club members over five years ago. Starting as a member, and then becoming a Peer Educator and Young Volunteer, we are delighted to say she is now working with us as a paid member of staff.
We are incredibly proud of the progress Amelia has made over the years to become the confident and skilled young woman we now have the pleasure of working with.
She has a wealth of skills, ideas and lived experience which we know will be invaluable to the young people we work with.
