Aviva pledge funding to support the Magic Club after inspirational ‘Seeing is Believing’ visit

In July Magic Club staff and Young People were invited to speak at Business in the Community’s ‘Seeing is Believing’ visit. This visit saw inspirational leaders from businesses across the UK come to Blackpool to see the challenges, but most importantly the opportunities that exist here to improve outcomes for people across the town.

As part of this visit we were delighted to meet CEO of Aviva, Amanda Blanc. Amanda was incredibly impressed by our members who hosted round tables with business leaders as they spoke about the Magic Club, their aspirations and some of the barriers to these.

After the visit, the team from Aviva got in touch to discuss ways in which they could support us. We are delighted to say that Aviva have granted us a very generous donation to support a full-time youth worker salary for one year and also funds to enable us to continue our Detached & Outreach work across Claremont.

A huge thanks to the Aviva team!
